MEA CULPA
In her newest dance-theatre ensemble work, Cloé Fournier scrutinises our relationship with technology and how social interactions continue to evolve – ever-changing over life and times.
Fuelled by a science fiction trans-human narrative, Mea Culpa displays a futuristic society composed of a remaining microcosm of 7 female bodies. Exploring and exploiting the idea of the human machine: part-mechanical, part-human; Fournier develops a movement aesthetic that blends and stretches contemporary and French folk-dance vocabularies.
“…embodying the female form as the absolute centre of attention (Cloé Fournier) examines the metamorphosis of the female entity obliged to constantly adapt to a demanding society or to reconfigure, as a means of survival.” Mark G Nagle – Theatre Now 18/06/18
