Beautifully wrought from the world of signs and symbols in our everyday lives, Artistic Director Rafael Bonachela’s celebrated production The Land Of Yes and The Land Of No comes to Riverside in 2012.
Every exquisite movement picks out the irresistible intensity of Ezio Bosso’s score, with the Sydney Dance Company’s magnificent dancers performing on a set of fluoro tubes and rich, constantly changing colours.
Designed by a crack British team of Alan Macdonald (production), Guy Hoare (lighting) and Theo Clinkard (costumes), this is a production which promises all the physical precision and enthralling dance that has dazzled the Company’s audiences from Shanghai to Venice.
Sydney Dance Company’s Sneak Peek gives young audiences the unique opportunity to see and hear what happens behind the scenes of a professional dance company. Engaging both newcomers to dance and aspiring young dancers, the Sneak Peek includes an introductort talk about The Land Of Yes and The Land Of No, demonstrations of class and excerpts from the show plus the chance to ask questions in a Q&A with the Company dancers.
A Resource Pack is available for teachers and students to accompany the performance.
