Welcome to the Biomet Data Rejuvenation Centre. We are pleased to have you here. Breathe. We perform exclusive, soothing and accurate data treatments, to enhance you. Join us in the holding haven. Commencing session 876 in…180 seconds.
The Dataset is a cinematic and futurist contemporary dance work by Canberra’s award-winning Australian Dance Party. A reflection on the complex attachment between humanity and data, questioning the implications of system failure on individual identity and collective survival. Experience the integration of movement, light, sound and data, as Alison Plevey and Sara Black enter a world where data systems pervade their lives, wielding significant influence in shaping their existence.
“The pseudo-scientific aspects of the production are brilliantly realised, creating a slightly surreal hypnotic effect.” Bill Stephens, Australian Arts Review
The Dataset is presented in That’s Two, Thank You, FORM’s new annual dance festival celebrating the art of the duet.

LEARN THE REPERTOIRE SEE THE SHOW For students years 9-12 and full-time students, FREE with matinee ticket purchase
Learn the Repertoire, See the Show offers dance students a unique opportunity to learn repertoire in a workshop led by the choreographer, see a matinee performance and participate in a post-show Q&A.
Led by Australian Dance Party, the workshop will begin with a warm up followed by an introduction to improvisation and choreographic tools used within the process of creating The Dataset. Students will learn a portion of repertoire from the work and develop tools to create their own choreographic works.
