Learn the Repertoire, See the Show is a unique program for dance students to learn repertoire from each of the Dance Bites performances in a workshop led by the presenting company. Following this, students will experience a matinee performance and post show Q + A with the artistic team.

    Shorter+Sweeter Dance is bite sized dance with edge featuring everything from pakour, hip hop, contemporary and much more!  Come and learn hip hop with some of Sydney’s hottest choreographers including Kay Armstrong, Veronica Beattie and Martin del Amo.

    Choreographer Martin del Amo joins forces with footballer turned performance maker Ahilan Ratnamohan and collaborates with eight male untrained performers from Western Sydney.
    The work playfully challenges what work can be and who can be a dancer.

    Sleek, elegant and sophisticated, Side To One is a captivating new dance media work about soul mates and the interplay of human connection.  Learn the art of dance and digital media collaboration via an interactive workshop led by co-curators – Lisa Griffiths (Leigh Warren, Chunky Move, Sue Healey), Craig Bary (Australian Dance Theatre, Sydney Dance Company, Douglas Wright NZ) and Adam Synott (Kaboom Studios, Dorkbot).

    Two of Australia’s most acclaimed choreographers will mesmerise audiences with a company of six outstanding dancers including multi-award winning artist Paul white and ex-Bangarra Katina Olsen.  Narelle Benjamin’s The Dark Room was originally created for the Australian Ballet whilst Frances Rings is re-mounting Debris commissioned by the West Australian Ballet.

  • Picture Perfect

    A powerful and provocative new dance theatre production by award winning choreographer Fiona Malone.  Picture Perfect utilises multiple performance languages to tell the story of a girl’s unhealthy obsession with attaining the ‘ideal’ appearance – commenting on today’s addictions to image perfection and plastic surgery.  The workshop will teach repertoire direct from the show along with led discussions by health organisation Self Essentials about issues surrounding body image and the media.
