WORLD PREMIERE Play your part in this innovative symphony
Presented by Sydney Festival, Riverside Theatres & The Pavilion Performing Arts Centre Produced by Voxstep and FORM Dance Projects
Garden of Sound invites you to follow the antics of two loyal gardeners, Dag and Dug, who are trying to bring their garden of sound back to its lush and symphonic potential. Dag loves chao. Dug loves control. They’re at a standoff and need the help of Young People (that’s you) to rediscover the sounds of the garden before they’re lost forever.
Using motion capture and a game engine (software used for video games), the show creates an open sonic environment of a garden, activated by gestures.
First, enjoy a mesmerising performance as Dag and Dug craft their sonic world before your eyes. Then, the stage becomes yours to explore, play and experiment with the soundscape.
Part performance, part interactive playground, this one-of-a-kind experience that invites audiences of all ages to listen, move and fine-tune a wonderous world of sound.
