THE PHARAOH’S DAUGHTER
In 2000, Pierre Lacotte was exclusively commissioned by the Bolshoi Theatre to resurrect Marius Petipa’s Egyptian fresco and succeeded in giving a new life to this forgotten masterpiece.

LA BAYADERE
Marius Petipa’s seminal work La Bayadère was first performed at the Imperial Bolshoi Kamenny Theatre in St.Petersburg in 1877. A scene from the ballet, known as The Kingdom of the Shades, is one of the most celebrated excerpts in classical ballet, and is considered to be one of the first examples of abstract ballet.

ESMERALDA
Esmeralda is inspired by the novel ‘Notre Dame de Paris’ by Victor Hugo, and this version from the Bolshoi Ballet’s repertoire features new staging and choreography by Yuri Burlaka and Vasily Medvedev presented in Moscow.

AN EVENING WITH LEÓN AND LIGHTFOOT
Featuring three ballets choreographed for the Nederlands Dans Theater by in-house choreographers Sol León and Paul Lightfoot. This successful Spanish- British duo present the humorous work SH-Boom, and the powerful theatrical Same Difference and Shoot The Moon, with music by Phillip Glass.

AN EVENING WITH CRYSTAL PITE
Crystal Pite is renowned for her flowing, poetic style and innovative dance vocabulary. In Pite’s vision, life is an epic tale, and she is fascinated by love, conflict and loss, and the body’s role in providing the shape of these familiar stories.

AN EVENING WITH… Ekman, Eyal & Gai Behar, León & Lightfoot, Inger
Studio Two is a dynamic work by NDT2 choreographers in residence Sol León and Paul Lightfoot set to music by Arvo Pärt. Also features works by the company’s two associate choreographers, Johan Inger’s Dream Play and a new work by Alexander Ekman. Highlights include the new work by Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar, two talented dancemakers from Ohad Naharin’s Batsheva Dance Company.
