FORM Dance Projects is delighted to present its annual Choreographic Workshop in 2014 in partnership with Sydney Dance Company for a second year.
This popular program provides Year 9-12 Dance students with the unique opportunity to develop their choreographic skills under the guidance of industry professionals.
Led by Sydney Dance Company dancers, the practical workshop introduces choreographic tools and tasks taken from the Company’s most recent productions. Students experience new ways to generate interesting movement material and develop their confidence and creativity in composition.
The immersive one day workshop includes a short demonstration performance by the Company dancers and the chance to discuss composition and the choreographic practice of Sydney Dance Company’s Artistic Director Rafael Bonachela.
The Choreographic Workshop is particularly valuable for HSC dance students and students who would like to participate in Fast+Fresh Dance later in the year.
